About
Built to replace the paper data sheet, not to sell you a platform.
Most school SLPs still track trials on paper because every app either keeps student data in its own cloud, caps the number of students, or costs $25 to $30 a month that the district won't pay.
What this is
SLP Data is a free website for recording session data, tracking IEP goals and producing progress summaries. It stores every byte on your own device, works offline, and does not need an account. It is designed for a Chromebook screen and keyboard first, then tablets and phones.
Who it's for
School SLPs first. Then special-education teachers, paraprofessionals, clinical fellows and graduate students: anyone whose district doesn't pay for a data platform, and anyone who would rather not hand a vendor their caseload.
The rules it follows
- Data never leaves the device. The app has no backend, no database and no network calls carrying user data.
- Free forever, with no ads. No paid tier, no upsells, no sponsorships, no trackers.
- No accounts. Open the site and start working.
- Works offline and on Chromebooks first.
- Faster than paper. If something is slower than a pencil mark, it gets redesigned.
What it costs to run
About $12 a year for the domain name. The pages are served from Cloudflare at no charge, and the app needs no database or accounts, so there is nothing else to pay for. That is why it can stay free.
